Best alternative to IPTV Stalker

DexterTV is the best Kodi video addon for live TV.

It's been a couple of months since IPTV Stalker went to paid subscriptions and I was close to giving
them my money. I figured $70 for a year subscription is a lot better than the $130 a month I was paying direcTV. So, there I was on IPTV Stalker's website about to input all my information and a voice in my head was like "This is 2015, there has to be a better, free alternative to IPTV Stalker." Then, I went digging again and came across this site. For some reason it looked promising so I gave it a try. It's only been a few hours since I've loaded it but it is by far the best alternative.

I recommend following those instructions and to keep it alive make a small donation here.

Also, one thing to note. Live TV is probably best used for sports. If you just want to watch TV shows and want a free Netflix on steroids check out Genesis. It's what I use for TV shows and Movies. Tutorial can be found here as well.

Penny for NASA

At the beginning of the nineteen sixties, America was thriving, coming out of a great decade with many believing a "Golden Age" was on the horizon, but before a "Golden Age" could even start, unlikely events in the US started happening. By the mid nineteen sixties we were still at war with Vietnam and Civil Right movements were happening all over the country, it seemed as though, we as a country were divided in so many ways with no hope of coming together anytime soon.

Our young and charming president, John F Kennedy, had promised a great and prosperous decade, but it was false dreams with a hopeless reality starting to set in with the average American. When he was assassinated on November 22, 1963, our hopes of peace seemed far in the distance. Something so great and daring needed to be done. Something that would bring the US together and stop the hate and war, at least for a brief moment in time. What other event could achieve such a goal than a space race to put a man on the moon.

The US and Soviet Union, though never went to war, challenged each other to show the world who was the greatest superpower. With all the events going on in the US, plus being in steady competition with the Soviet Union, we had to win the space race. On July 10, 1969 the US took the first attempt to put a man on the moon and it was a successful mission.  Even though most believe we went to the moon for all the wrong reasons, the advancements in technology we gained from the mission put us way ahead of the curve from any other country on the planet. Most of those technologies would eventually trickle down to the average consumer.

When you try to do something nobody has ever done, you need materials and technologies that no company manufactures. You have no choice but to create and invent things you need from scratch.  NASA has been doing this for over 50 years and the average consumer has benefited from it. These products that end up in the consumers hands are known as NASA 'spin-offs'. Things like memory foam, scratch-resistant lenses, cordless power tools, solar cells, and fire fighter gear all started at a NASA facility.

As you can see we benefit a great deal from what NASA does. I hear people say our tax dollars for NASA is a waste, but most of them have no clue about the spin-off technologies. Me personally; I think the discoveries from NASA’s missions  are more important than the spin-off technologies. For those who don't see it that way, think of the other ways you benefit from it.

This brings me to my point. NASA get's half of a penny on every tax dollar you pay. "A HALF OF A PENNY!" You would think the government could budget a little better than that. The total budget for 2014 was 3.5 billion. Social Security and Healthcare get 34% each, which I can see reasonable and the Defense Department get's the next biggest slice of 17%; that's roughly 596 million. While the military has their own list of spin-off's through DARPA, like the internet and GPS, I think NASA should get a little piece of that pie.

If Congress could just budget one whole penny for NASA, double the current budget, that would be a great start. This is something that many people believe can be done and are sighing a petition, 'Penny4NASA' to get the ball rolling. If you're like me and thousands of others, take the time to sign and lets continue to help fund the breakthroughs in science and technology that we all benefit from.

Green Tea equals prosperity

One of the first things I do every morning, is make myself a hot cup of green tea with a touch of honey. This isn't only getting me moving in the morning from the caffeine intake, but my body benefits from the healthy compounds that's contained in it.

I was aware green tea was healthy for you, but it wasn't until recently I learned about all the advantages. Most people know it's a natural antioxidant that cleanses the body. This antioxidant is called Epigallocatechin Gallate and has been known to treat various diseases. This is why green tea is used in a variety of medicines.

Other than medicines, you'll find green tea is in thousands of products. It's known to be in fat
burning products, since studies have shown it can boost your metabolic rate. With this in mind you can see how a hand full of energy drinks has green tea in them as well.

It's incredible what you gain physically and mentally from just drinking a glass a day of this leaf from a Camellia shrub. If you add a little honey for a natural sweetener, it's the healthiest beverage you can consume.

Back to some of the medical benefits. Along with the Epigallocatechin Gallate antioxidant I mentioned earlier and catechin compounds green tea has, it can help reduce Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and cardiovascular diseases. One study has shown it can reduce the risk of prostate cancer by 49%, which is the most common type of cancer for men. It can also reduce the risk of type II Diabetes, since studies have shown it can improve insulin sensitivity and reduce blood sugar levels.

By drinking any type of green tea you're going to benefit no matter what, but if you choose a higher quality brand you'll reduce the levels of fluoride found in lower quality brands. Some will also have artificial flavoring which is a controversial subject of health related disadvantages. I recently found a great site that has USDA Certified Organic herbs. restorativenature.com has a wide variety of tea blends and some accessories for preparing your tea. I would highly recommend the "Cinnamon Orange Spice" and "Moroccan Mint Organic Green" blends.

Just remember, a glass a day can have a huge impact on your overall health and mental state. Live long and prosperous with less visits to doctors' offices so you can live a little longer to be with the one's you love.

Why wouldn't someone purchase an autonomous vehicle?

As I was driving on a three hour trip to a training session for a new job, I began to wonder, as I often do, "how great would it be if I could be doing something more productive right now besides driving. I could be finishing up my coursera class, reading 'Mind over Markets' or simply posting to my new blog." Then I began to ask myself, "who wouldn't want an autonomous vehicle?" After asking friends and co-workers if they would purchase an autonomous vehicle, most of them said they wouldn't. Why?

After doing some research, most people like to drive and don't know what else they could be doing other than driving.  I've heard some people say if they're in a hurry, as they often are, they'd have to drive over the speed limit to get to where they're going on time.  Since being in a hurry and driving over the speed limit would contribute to the 1.3 million deaths a year worldwide, you would think they'd be more on board with autonomous vehicles. I think the main concern would be most people just don't trust technology enough and couldn't imagine putting their fate in the hands of their self-driving car. This is a reasonable concern, since the computers and smartphones, they use everyday are constantly giving them issues. What some people don't understand, is the technology would be tested to the max before any car manufacture would consider it to be safe for everyday use. I'm sure they wouldn't want to get sued for millions if something were to happen.

Take Google, for example, as of April 2014 their fleet of autonomous vehicle's using Google's software, "Google Chauffeur" has logged nearly 700,000 autonomous miles with only two minor accidents, none of which happened while Google Chauffeur was in control. The cars are driven all over California in some of the most Gordian driving conditions, like I-405 and San Fancisco's Lombard Street.  The car always has someone in the driver seat and a Google engineer in the passenger seat monitoring all the data and conditions. With over 700,000 miles under its belt, I'd say it's a damn good start to a technology that wasn't even imaginable ten years ago. With this data, and an understanding of how the technology works, I believe more people will trust a driverless car.

Google isn't the only one with autonomous vehicles on its mind. Mercedes-Benz, General Motors, Nissan, Toyota and Audi all have working prototypes. While General Motors is looking at a more step-by-step approach, easing people into this new technology by releasing a Super Cruise feature by 2020, which would allow self-driving only when in cruise control, Nissan is expected to have a fully functional self-driving vehicle by 2020. With law's are already starting to pass in some states that would allow autonomous vehicles on their roads, including Nevada, Florida, California and Michigan, I would expect the autonomous vehicle era to take off a lot faster than most people think. I believe, it will be more like the internet and the cell phone era we have had over the past 15 years.

To the people who may be a little frightened of this technology, think about every other major change that's happened in the world that made people feel like life itself is going to end. During the industrial revolution everyone thought machines were going to take all the jobs and there would be none left for man. Later, it was computers and technology that had everyone in an uproar. As you can see the world is still turning and more jobs are created all the time. So let's try something a little different and embrace this change because in the end, it's going to benefit all of us.

My first blog post

Being able to express an idea or thought, is one of humankind's greatest qualities. It’s amazing how we can share these thoughts and feelings to the world, through our digital window, at no cost. This quality and technology we possess, is the reason I decided to start this blog.
Writing often will allow you to discover things about yourself that you may not have noticed before. For this reason, I believe everyone should give writing a shot. If someone like me, who had terrible grammar growing up, took English classes twice every year in high school just to pass, anyone can do it. The internet is a great source to learn just about anything, if you’re willing to put the time and effort into it. I’m by no means an expert and currently in the process of teaching myself how to write, so if you happened to come across a post and would like to help me improve my writing skills, by all means shoot me an email with your recommendations.
What you’ll read in the blog will vary from an immense amount of topics. Since I’m curious by nature, I’m not even sure what I’ll decide to write on any given day. So be prepared to read unusual, but interesting things. Hope you enjoy.
Thanks for your support.
